POSITION: ETL ENGINEER

Our growth has created an opportunity for a new member of our product support team - someone who can assume a key role in our efforts to leverage SQL functionality to support our clients' diverse database needs. You will need to be a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills, and be well-practiced in multitasking. As part of a team, you must be willing to make commitments and be accountable for fulfilling them.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary:

- Analyzing client business rules and turning them into SQL statements

- Data import/export & transformation

- Desiging, deploying, & automating SSIS packages

- Creation of C# automation routines

- SQL database and index design, development, optimization & testing

Secondary:

- SQL education/training for our product support team

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or better

Experience Requirements:

- 2+ years development/programming experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005, T-SQL

- 2+ years SQL query, index, & Stored Procedure optimization

- 1+ years hands-on experience with the following technologies: ETL (SSIS), C#

Skill Requirements:

- Strong organizational & teamwork skills

- Strong critical thinking skills, including systems & business analysis, problem analysis & resolution

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills & be able to communicate effectively with both technical & non-technical individuals

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & manage time effectively

- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, self-directed environment

- High attention to detail

- Meticulous technical documentation ethic

ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS

- Visual Basic.NET

- Code analysis and documentation; bug tracking, troubleshooting, and fixing

- Windows batch files

- Windows Scheduler

- Windows ACL permissions

- UNC paths
